Duck Tape Heart Toppers are great for a Valentine’s Day project or just to initiate a romantic, loving atmosphere. Six materials are needed to create this craft, and it’s perfect for any level crafter.  It doesn’t take long to make a Duck Tape Heart Topper; one can be completed in as little as 25 minutes.  Plus you get to work with Bubble Wrap, which is reason enough for most of us.  With nine straightforward steps, your Duck Tape Heart Topper can be complete.

You will need:

  • Duck Tape
  • Bubble Wrap
  • Pen
  • Craft knife
  • Ruler
  • Crafting board

Step 1

Draw and cut out a heart shape onto cardstock if you want your hearts to be all the same size.

Step 2

Fold over a piece of Bubble Wrap onto itself to get the desired thickness of the heart. Tape to hold the piece together.

Step 3

Trace your heart stencil onto the Bubble Wrap.

Step 4

Cut out the heart.

Step 5

Put the heart shaped Bubble Wrap onto one half of a Duck Tape® fabric sheet (for instructions on how to make a fabric sheet, please see Ducktivities section) and fold over. Press the edge of the heart shape firmly.

Step 6

Cut out the heart shape leaving a small edge around the heart.

Step 7

Tape your heart to the end of a pen, pencil, etc.

Step 8

Personalize your heart if desired.

Step 9

Repeat these steps with other colours and patterns!
